Nature
The location of the Olympiada is one of the most vegetated areas of Halkidiki, combining, in a harmonious way, the beauty of the mountain and the sea. Near the village you can walk on the amazing (charted) walking routes from the intersection of Varvara to the waterfalls of the Aristotelian Mountain, a paradise on earth protected by the European network Natura 2000! You can also hike through the forest of Holomontas, just 8 km from the village of Olympiada or reach the island of Kafkanas on a unique boat trip, 2.5 km from the picturesque port. If you love diving, the neighbouring village of Stratoni is a unique opportunity to admire the rare hippocampus colony! You can also take a day trip to the neighbouring prefecture of Serres and visit the cave of Alistratis, one of the largest in Greece, which is located at a distance of 83 km, as well as the Aggitis cave, the largest river cave in the world that can be visited.
